Chaipattana Low Speed Surface Aerator, Model RX-2

The Chaipattana Aerator is a low speed surface aerator for which His Majesty holds a patent in Thailand. Such devices may significantly improve the water quality of lakes / ponds which have no natural source of air / oxygen.
Water is a habitat for many organism, oxygen is necessary for them to survive. he oxygen for respiration. They need a minimum of 4 mg O2 per liter of H2O to survive without damage.  The amount of dissolved oxygen is therefore a balance between absorber and donator, temperature and other substances dissolved. If this balance is seriously disturbed, one would speak of waste water
           The model RX-2 consists of two wheels where in between are six baskets mounted. The baskets are open on top and have a lot of small holes at the walls and at the bottom. This ensures, that, when the wheels turn, the baskets are filled quickly when diving into the water and empty slowly in a lot of thin water jets, maximizing its efficiency by creating turbulence in the water. 

The model RX-2 was installed in wastewater treatment activities at Phramongkutklao Hospital on May 1, 1989, and at Wat Bovornniwet sanctuary on May 3, 1989 for research and development of wastewater treatment system for 4-5 years.




The model RX-2 was created to solve the water pollution. It has the ability to increase oxygen or air into the water. It can be used to improve water quality, versatile, easy to move, easy to move. Suitable for use in public and natural water sources such as ponds, swamps, canals, lakes, creeks, etc. In case of polluted, the aerator is used in combination with water hyacinth. The aerator adds oxygen to the polluted water and the hyacinth filters / treats the water.


Chaipattana Low Speed Surface Aerator, Model RX-2 was invented by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. It can be used effectively and benefit the public. This invention solves the problem of rotten water by adding oxygen and air.  In addition to the invention of His Majesty to solve the problem of water pollution. We can help conservative the environment by we don’t dumping garbage into the river or helping to save water which  easy method that everyone can do it.
